The dsDNA 915 Reagent Kit is a qualitative kit for the automated sizing of DNA fragments between 35 bp and 5,000 bp. This kit is similar to the dsDNA 910 gel kit however the larger ladder and marker fragments provide a slightly bigger separation range. Common applications of this kit include genotyping, the analysis of PCR amplicons, microsatellites, and SSRs. Note: This is a qualitative kit for the accurate sizing and relative quantification of fragments

Examples

Qualitative analysis of DNA by electrophoresis necessitates the use of a well separated, quality DNA ladder to size samples. The 100 bp Plus DNA Ladder (FS-SLR915-0001) provides accurate sizing between 35 bp and 5,000 bp via carefully selected ladder fragments and markers. The ladder enables the accurate qualitative analysis of PCR amplicons, microsatellites, and genotyping applications.

The dsDNA 915 Reagent Kit is ideal for the capillary electrophoresis of small to medium-sized DNA fragments. Reliably and precisely size and obtain relative quantification of single fragments or multiple fragments simultaneously. Figure 2 displays the separation of a single amplicon.

Figure 3 depicts the separation of two amplicons with both an electropherogram and digital gel image. The ability to dependably separate any number of fragments enables a variety of user defined analyses, ranging from sizing a single fragment to custom genotyping protocols.
