dsDNA Reagent Kit (35-500bp)

The dsDNA Reagent Kit (35-500bp) (DNF-900) is a qualitative kit for the automated and accurate sizing of DNA fragments between 35 bp and 500 bp. Common applications of this kit include genotyping, the analysis of PCR amplicons, microsatellites, and SSRs. Note: This is a qualitative kit for the accurate sizing and relative quantification of fragments.

Examples

Qualitative analysis of DNA requires a well separated, quality, DNA ladder. The 75 bp – 400 bp Range DNA Ladder provides accurate sizing from 35 bp – 500 bp via well separated ladder fragments and markers. This ladder is ideal for the analysis of PCR fragments, microsatellites, and genotyping applications.

Without regard to source, dsDNA 900 Reagent Kit (DNF-900) separates and sizes DNA fragments between 35 bp and 500 bp with unparalleled accuracy and precision (±5% and 2%, respectively). An example of a single fragment separation is shown in Figure 2.

The electropherogram (left) and digital gel image (right) represent the same data, as such, if a sample provides a clear, distinct peak on the electropherogram a correspondingly clear band will appear on the digital gel image. This is shown as clearly with multiple fragment samples as in single fragment samples. Figure 3 depicts a separation of a sample with 4 amplicons: 140 bp, 146 bp, 152 bp and 159 bp.

The separation resolution is readily apparent in Figure 3, four DNA fragments between 140 bp to 160 bp were distinguished on both the electropherogram and the digital gel image. The dsDNA 900 Reagent Kit (DNF-900) was able to resolve and size fragments as close as 6 bp to each other. Such resolving power makes the dsDNA 900 Reagent Kit (DNF-900) ideal for the precision sizing of small DNA fragments of all sources.
