    Advanced Analytical Technologies, Inc (AATI) Application Scientist, Whitney Pike, and the Fragment Analyzer Automated CE System were recently featured in an article on Biocompare. The article, Not All Quiet on the NGS-Library Front, highlights the importance of careful NGS library construction to the generation of high quality sequencing results. Pike discussed the importance of understanding RNA quality for different RNA-seq projects, and how the Fragment Analyzer fits into NGS library construction workflows.

    Integration of an accurate and efficient mutation screening method into CRISPR/Cas genome editing workflows saves researchers time and money by eliminating unnecessary sequencing.

    Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News recently published a tutorial detailing our solution for CRISPR mutation screening and zygosity determination. Starting with the AccuCleave T7CE Kit, cleavage products are separated using the CRISPR Gel Discovery Kit on the Fragment Analyzer, followed by analysis using a custom plugin for PROSize Data Analysis Software.   • Federal Scientists Issue Report, State Need for Fragment Analyzers

    Based out of Fort Detrick, Maryland, the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity has written a report detailing the need of two Fragment Analyzer Automated CE Systems for use in the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System, DNA Identification Laboratory (AFDIL).  The report describes how the Fragment Analyzer meets the dynamic requirements of AFDIL and why the QIAxcel Advanced System, 2100 Bioanalyzer, 2200 Tapestation, and the LabChip GX Touch HT do not.

  • FBI’s DNA Support Unit Looks to Purchase Second Fragment Analyzer

    A seamless blend of parallel capillary electrophoresis with fluorescent nucleic acid detection, the Fragment Analyzer Automated CE System has supplanted other instruments as the preferred instrument for DNA and RNA quantification and qualification.  In fact, the FBI’s DNA Support Unit (DSU) has posted a Notice of Intent, describing their need for another Fragment Analyzer, stating,
