pKa Analyzer PRO

pKa PRO™ 24HT

pKa PRO™

The pKa PRO™ is a dedicated system for the rapid measurement of acid dissociation constants (pKa values) of water soluble and insoluble compounds. The system utilizes multi-channel, parallel capillary electrophoresis with fixed wavelength UV absorbance for the separation and detection of compounds as a function of pH value. The separation-based format enables the accurate measurement of compound pKa values even in the presence of sample impurities. Customized, application-specific software seamlessly integrates the automated collection of electrophoretic separation data, the calculation of compound pKa values, and the reporting/exporting of experimental results. Predefined separation methods reduce interlaboratory variability and enable the user to focus on the pKa results.

The pKa PRO™ system is available in two different models:

  • The pKa PRO™ 96XT is a 96-capillary array system designed for high throughput laboratories, providing analysis of up to 12 compounds/h for 24-point, aqueous pKa measurements.
  • NEW! The pKa PRO™ 24HT is a lower cost, 24-capillary array system geared towards low to medium throughput laboratories, providing analysis of up to 3 compounds/h for 24-point, aqueous pKa measurements.

Additional Key Features of the pKa PRO™ Include:

  • Wide range of pKa measurement, from pH 1.7 – 11.2 (24-point buffer system).
  • Straightforward, intuitive data analysis.
  • Minimal sample consumption.
  • Direct display of overall charge vs. pH, enabling calculation of isoelectric point (pI value).
  • System is easy to use and maintain.
  • Both aqueous and co-solvent measurement methods supported.
  • A full line of buffer kits are available enabling "turn-key" operation.
  • NEW! Premade, ready to use pH buffer plates for performing 24-point aqueous pKa measurements.
  • Excellent correlation of results to traditional pKa measurement methods.
  • Log P measurements and/or chiral separations can also be performed with an optional upgrade.
