How the Biomass Test Kit Works
A 3 mL pH-neutral sample aliquot is needed for analysis (buffer may be automatically added per the appropriate method to adjust the stock sample to a neutral pH of 6-8). Nucleic Acid Dye is a membrane-permeable dye that stains all the cells, live and dead. Other test kits are available if the user wants to differentiate between the live and dead cells (Total Viable Organisms Test Kits, RBD-3000-50 and RBD-3000-54, and Dead Cell Test Kit, RBD-3000-52). Samples are analyzed on the Micro PRO™ using a defined method and results are output as counts/mL.
