How the Micro PRO™ Product Screening Kits Work
The Micro PRO™ Product Screening kits are used as a quick screen of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished product for the presence or absence of microbial contamination. Using the Micro PROâ„¢ and corresponding product screening kits provide results within 24-48 hours. Therefore, products may be released sooner than with traditional culture techniques. The Micro PRO™ Product Screening Media Kit is an enrichment procedure that provides media for the rapid growth of bacteria, yeast and mold in one test sample. The Micro PRO™ Product Screening Reagent Kit contains the various dyes required for detection of the presence or absence of microorganisms in the enriched sample. Samples are analyzed on the Micro PROâ„¢ using a defined method and the results are reported in an objective pass/fail format.
