The AdvanCE™ FS96 dsDNA Fluorescent System can be used to separate and analyze nucleic acid fragments from any type of PCR reactions including SNP, microsatellites, STR, etc. It can also be used to evaluate larger fragments of DNA from restriction digestions. Plasmids forms can also be discerned using our Plasmid gel, specially created to identify supercoiled, circular and linear plasmid DNA.

Plasmid DNA

Separating supercoiled, linear and closed circular plasmid DNA can be difficult to separate. With our specially formulated gel, these three conformationally different species can be separated with ease. The image above shows the pBR322; supercoiled (E1, E5, E9), linear (E2, E6, E10), closed circular (E3, E7, E11) and all three species (E4, E8, E12). The plasmid was linearized with EcoRI, and relaxed with DNase.

Gels information

Part No. Usage
DNF-900-0250 Best for small fragment analysis, 10-500 bp, resolution approximately 3 bp
DNF-910-0250 Broad range gel, analyze fragments 50 – 2,000 bp. Resolution over range: 5bp <500bp fragments; 5-10bp, 500-1,000bp fragments; 50-100bp,> 1,000
DNF-920-0250 Large and medium size fragment analysis, 1,000 – 12,000bp. Gel is also capable of separating plasmid DNA, supercoiled, relaxed and linear species.
