Lasky – ChairmanSteven J. Lasky, Ph.D. – CEO and Founder
Dr. Lasky has served as a Director of Advanced Analytical since 1997 and has previously served as VP of Research & Development and VP of Sales & Marketing. Dr. Lasky has 17 years of management experience, which began at the Union Carbide Technical Center in 1990, where Dr. Lasky managed the Process Spectroscopy Center and the Robotics Center. In addition, he played a key role in the implementation of a corporate-wide SAP/LIMS ERP system. Special recognition awards were bestowed five times for visionary concepts and successful implementation of new technology. Dr. Lasky received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Western Illinois University in 1986 and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Wyoming in 1990. Publications include the Journal of Physical Chemistry and the Journal of the American Chemical Society.

PappajohnJohn Pappajohn – Director of Advanced Analytical
Mr. Pappajohn has served as a director since 2004. Since 1969, Mr. Pappajohn has been the President and principal stockholder of Equity Dynamics, Inc., a financial consulting firm, and the sole owner of Pappajohn Capital Resources, a venture capital firm. He also serves as a director of the following public companies; Allion Healthcare, Inc., MC Informatics, Inc., PACE Health Management Systems, Inc. and Patient InfoSystems, Inc. Mr. Pappajohn received his B.S.C. from the University of Iowa.

Buttry, Ph.D.Daniel A. Buttry, Ph.D. – Director of Advanced Analytical, Technology Advisory Board
Dr. Buttry has served as a Director since 1997. Since 1985, he has been a member of the faculty in the Chemistry Department at the University of Wyoming and became a full professor in 1992. Dr. Buttry served as Head for the Chemistry Department from 1999 to 2002. Dr. Buttry has published more than 62 papers in the areas of advanced instrumentation, chemical sensors and environmental measurements. He is a reviewer for 16 technical journals and several private and government funding agencies, including the National Science Foundation. Dr. Buttry received his B.A. with highest distinction in Chemistry from the University of Colorado in 1979 and his Ph.D. in Electrochemistry from the California Institute of Technology in 1983. He was a Research Staff Member in the IBM Almaden Research Laboratory in San Jose, California from 1983 through 1985, before joining the University of Wyoming.

I. OrkinFredric I. Orkin – Director of Advanced Analytical
Mr. Orkin became a Director of our company in July 1999. Since 1992, he has been President of Fredric I. Orkin and Associates Inc., an engineering consulting firm specializing in product development and evaluation services for medical devices, and President of Czarnek & Orkin Laboratories, Inc., an applied physics laboratory specializing in measurement techniques for industrial applications. From 1985 to 1991, he was Vice President and General Manager of a division of Baxter International, Inc. that developed, patented and obtained FDA approval of a product that automated the delivery and charting of multiple intravenous fluids. He previously held positions with several companies in the areas of quality assurance and engineering. He received a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from Ohio State University in 1957 and holds four U.S. patents.

GreenleyTerence P. Greenley – Director of Advanced Analytical
Mr. Greenley has served as a director since 2006. Mr. Greenley is President/CEO of The Greenley Companies, a Sigourney-based wholesale supply and distribution firm focusing on specialized business supplies for the financial services industry and marketing and promotional items for banks and businesses. He joined the company in 1970 and has served as CEO since 1987. He has also been involved in outside business ventures including the ownership and management of rental property and the development and management of a single–site BP/Amoco-branded convenience store. Mr. Greenley is active in community and economic development and has served on local, regional and state boards. Mr. Greenley is Past President of Variety–The Children's Charity of Iowa and currently serves as Chairman of the Iowa Chapter of World Presidents' Organization. In 1998 he was a founder of Fountain View Bancorp., Inc., a single–bank holding company in Sigourney, Iowa and serves as its President. He also serves as Chairman of Keokuk County State Bank. In 1988 Mr. Greenley was named an “Up and Comer” by the Des Moines Register.

Dr. Procop is currently the Director of Clinical Microbiology at the Jackson Healthcare System and Professor of Pathology at the Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, Miami, FL. Previously he was the Section Head of Clinical Microbiology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH and an Associate Professor of Pathology at The Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University; Cleveland, OH. Dr. Procop is a licensed physician in four states, is a member of ten professional societies, has presented and co-authored over 280 poster presentations, co-authored over 100 articles in published peer-reviewed journals, and co-authored 18 chapters in various scientific and medical texts. Dr. Procop earned his B.S. in Biology/Microbiology with a Minor in Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI; his M.S. in Microbiology with a Minor in Pharmacology from Marshall University School of Medicine, Huntington, WV and his M.D. from Marshall University School of Medicine, Huntington, WV. Dr. Procop received his post-graduate training as a Pathology Resident at Duke University Medical Center; Durham, NC and as a Medical Microbiology Fellow at Mayo Clinic; Rochester, MN.

- Dr. Jonathan V.
Sweedler, Ph.D.Jonathan V. Sweedler, Ph.D. - Advanced Analytical Technology Advisory Board
Jonathan Sweedler is the William H. and Janet Lycan professor of chemistry and is the director of the Roy J. Carver Biotechnology Center at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. A faculty member of the university's Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology and Institute for Genomic Biology, he is also affiliated with the neuroscience and bioengineering programs.
His research emphasizes analytical neurochemistry. Specific technology areas include the development of analytical methods for assaying complex microenvironments, capillary electrophoresis separation methods, laser-based detection methods, MALDI sampling techniques, nanoliter volume NMR and micro/nanofluidic sampling. The second research theme is the application of these technologies to discover novel neurochemical pathways, the study of the distribution and dynamic release of neuropeptides and classical transmitters, as well as their metabolism, in a cell-specific manner.

Yeung, Ph.D.Edward S. Yeung, Ph.D. – Director of Advanced Analytical Technology Advisory Board
Edward Yeung received his B.A. in Chemistry from Cornell University and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. Since then, he has been on the chemistry faculty at Iowa State University, where he is currently a Robert Allen Wright Professor and Distinguished Professor in Liberal Arts and Sciences. His research interests span both spectroscopy and chromatography. He has published in areas such as nonlinear spectroscopy, laser-based detectors for chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, trace gas monitoring, single-cell and single-molecule analysis, DNA sequencing, and data treatment procedures in chemical measurements.
