I want to Increase Detection Sensitivity
Detecting and quantifying NGS fragments during library preparation is critical to the optimum utilization of Next Gen sequencers. If detection sensitivity is increased, that allows less input material to be used. It also enhances quantification accuracy within the limits of materials needed for the sequencers.
The AdvanCE™ FS Nucleic Acids Analyzer can routinely and accurately detect NGS fragments to 100pg/µL per smear. Under certain conditions, even lower amounts can be detected and analyzed. Two factors allow smear limits to be pushed beyond other instruments in the market:
- signal to noise levels greater than 20:1 detection.
- smears are more easily detected with better fragment resolution, because they're separated over a long capillary length (up to 80cm).
The following factors allow the AdvanCE™ FS Nucleic Acids Analyzer to increase detection sensitivity:
- Superior capillary design – separation over 80cm capillary versus <1 cm micro channel.
- Use of a sensitive intercalating fluorescent dye.
- Ability to adjust the electrokinetic injection conditions.
