I want to Improve Quantity/Quality Assessment
All Next Gen Sequencing library preparations require quantity and quality analysis; for some instruments several analyses are needed. Critical to ensuring the optimum read length is accurate sizing and quantification of these fragments.
Each of the leading Next Gen Sequencing manufacturers typically “read” fragment lengths of varying sizes:
- Applied Bio SOLiD™ — average fragment length of 50 base pairs.
- Illumina GA - average fragment length of 75 to 100 base pairs.
- Roche 454™ - average fragment length of 350 base pairs.
- PacBio – average fragment length of 1,000 to 1,200 base pairs, while going as high as 6,000 bp.
Our technology achieves high resolution for fragment lengths of <500 bp - including two-bp for fragments <300 bp - and is the only CE instrument on the market capable of resolving fragments as large as 6,000 bp.
The AdvanCE™ FS Nucleic Acids Analyzer has been shown to have both better sizing and quantification accuracy/reproducibility than any other analytical methods (see Table). This means that results can be appraised with confidence for one sample, 96 samples and from one run to the next.
100 bp - 2000bp < 5%
2000bp - 5000bp < 10%
The following factors allow the AdvanCE™ FS Nucleic Acids Analyzer to improve quantity and quality analysis of NGS fragments:
- A specifically formulated QC performance tested Kit for NGS fragment analysis.
- Superior instrument design - coupling a sensitive detector with high quality optics system.
- Superior capillary design – separation over 80cm capillary versus <1 cm micro channel.
